KUALA LUMPUR - The government announces that it will continue the Kasih Suri Rumah Tangga Programme for 2023 and empower the protection under the Social Security Organisation (Socso) Scheme.

Housewives who made their contribution of at least RM60 a year under the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) would gain an additional government which matched the incentive worth up to RM600 per year including RM480 in Employees Provident Fund (EPF) savings and RM120 in Socso Scheme contributions.

The matter was informed by Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz when he tabled Budget 2023 in Parliament on Friday.

"The programme would benefit 200,000 housewives with government contributions of over RM120 million," he said.
