#QuranTime: ‘It’s a very special day for me’- Karangkraf Chairman

PUTRAJAYA - Karangkraf Group Chairman Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub cannot hold back tears when delivering a speech at the Khatam Tadabbur My #QuranTime 1.0 Convocation Ceremony at the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque, here on Saturday.
Speaking in front of about 8,000 followers of the My #QuranTime program, Hussamuddin who is also the Founder of Yayasan Warisan Ummah Ikhlas (WUIF) described the programme as very close to his heart.
"Actually today is a very special day for me. This is the first time that I myself have completed the 30 juzuk of the Qur'an, although not in depth.
"All this time I have only been an observer (to the My #QuranTime program) but today is a historic day (for me).
"In addition, I am a stage five Covid-19 survivor. I was in the hospital for 17 days and was almost put to sleep," he said with tears in his eyes.
Touching on the programme that was initiated over two years ago, Hussamuddin said it was the brainchild of WUIF which was established more than eight years ago.
"Actually, this My #QuranTime is an effort from us to Quranise the Nation," he said.
Hussamuddin at the same time also expressed his gratitude to all parties who supported the programme.
The My #QuranTime programme was founded by WUIF in collaboration with the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) and TV AlHijrah as the main broadcaster.
My #QuranTime is an interaction programme with the Quran through tadabbur of 114 chapters (surah)/ 604 pages which were broadcasted on AlHijrah TV and My #QuranTime Facebook platform and its YouTube channel from 12pm to 1pm every day starting June 8, 2020.
To date, more than 15 million viewers from Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia and Southern Thailand have watched the programme.
