SHAH ALAM - Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi warns the leaders of Barisan Nasional (BN) that they will be prosecuted in court if BN loses in the coming 15th General Election (GE15).

"GE15 is the mother of all general elections. If we cannot win, our fate will be worse than GE14. It's not just me who will be charged," Zahid said this during in his speech during the 76th MIC General Assembly.

Believeing that he will not be the only one to be charged, Zahid said other BN politicians would also be charged in court, namely; Tok Mat (Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, Vigneswaran (MIC president Tan Sri S. A. Vignesawaran), Saravanan (MIC deputy president Datuk M. Saravanan), Wee Ka Siong (MCA president Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong and Hishammuddin (former Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein)

"I'm not the only one that will be charged. Tok Mat, you're on the waiting list," he quipped.

Zahid however, clarified that Umno is not challenging or questioning the judicial system but is merely fighting against "politically trumped-up charges."

"We challenge the selective prosecution because they are vindictive towards Umno leaders," he said.

Zahid, was recently found innocent of all charges of him accepting bribes vis-a-vis a foreign visa system (VLN) contract.

He however, is not out of the woods yet, given remaining 47 charges involving criminal breach of trust, graft and money laundering that are still implicating him.
