Mahathir's Pejuang aims for 'civilised' nation if it wins GE15

SHAH ALAM - Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's Pejuang is proposing seven manifestos if it wins the Nov 19 polls, focusing on achieving a 'civilised' nation through credible leadership, jobs, welfare aid and food security.

It also promises to uplift the education system by achieving the true potential of students, developing human beings with life values ​​and patriotism.

"Education, skill development and leadership are in the purpose of developing a more comprehensive generation and not merely become an industrial worker," said Mahathir during the press conference.

"Authoritative nation that consisting of leaders and people who are clean from corruption, money politics, abuse of power, replaced by clean, efficient and credible leadership," the Langkawi incumbent further added.

Pejuang also promised to develop the country into a modern country with the modernisation of various sectors to adapt with the needs of the new economy and community.

It also will facilitate new economic sectors, especially high industries, artificial intelligence, data economy, aero-space, maritime, solar agriculture, commodity 2.0, animation, digital finance, robotics and eco biodiversity.

“Facilitating ecosystems and investments of new economy to produce high-income workers and create smart and low-cost urbanism and industrialisation carbon as well as adapting to climate change,” he said.

Mahathir furher added proper policies were needed to manage biodiversity and climate change.

As part of its manifesto, he said Pejuang will also ensure better social networks and security of the people especially to the poor and vulnerable, isolated, disabilities and single families.

Mahathir announced on Nov 2 the coalition will run for 121 parliamentary seats across the country in the 15th general election (GE15).

Mahathir said Pejuang fielded candidates for 59 parliamentary seats, followed by Putra (24), Berjasa (eight), Iman (five), and Gagasan Bangsa (11).
