KOTA KINABALU - Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) expresses their support for Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) to continue leading the Sabah government.

Its Deputy President Datuk Wetrom Bahanda said it was in line with the ruling and stance of Hajiji and the GRS government which supported Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the unity government.

He said Anwar in his statement on Friday had confirmed his support towards GRS in a unity government.

“During a special KDM meeting with the prime minister led by the party’s president Datuk Peter Anthony on Friday, the prime minister expressed his support for Hajiji to continue to lead and govern Sabah in line with GRS’s support for the unity government.

“Therefore, KDM and state assemblymen support Hajiji and GRS to continue to govern and lead the Sabah government,” he said in a statement on Saturday.

Wetrom said it was time that the unity government develop the country, especially in Sabah after the 15th General Election (GE15).

“GE15 has just finished, we don’t want too much politics because now is the time the unity government is under the leadership of Anwar who is supported by Barisan Nasional (BN), GRS, KDM and other parties together towards developing the country, the state and the people.

“Now is the time we stand together and develop and defend the state of Sabah and the people who were still behind in many aspects especially the rural areas in dire need of development,” he said.
