SHAH ALAM - Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman says it is crucial to find out who are behind the “hate speech” contents on TikTok.

He was referring to video contents aimed at inciting racial tensions over the inconclusive election which were currently being investigated by the Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and the police.

It was reported that Tiktok removed videos with May 13- related contents that violated its community guidelines.

“It is not just a political content, this is borderline hate speech which is merely too violent.

“In a country like Malaysia, being multiracial and diverse in Asia, this could really hurt our country.

“So it has to be stopped,” Syed Saddiq said.

The Muar MP said it was important to track down those responsible for spreading such contents and take action against in accordance to the law.
