SHAH ALAM - Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) expressed disappointment as the party was not given a chance to join the unity government Cabinet line-up.

PBM president, Datuk Larry Sng, said PBM was one of the earliest parties that supported Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to form a government.

However, Larry said his parties did not want their interests to interfere with the nation’s affairs.

“I am at loss of words to express my disappointment towards the Cabinet line-up that has no representative from PBM, even though we are the earliest party that expressed support for Anwar.

“However, as a party, we will not let the party's interest exceed the nation's.

“To support the effort of moving the country forward, PBM will play this limited role in strengthening the country’s foundation,” he said through Facebook.

On Friday, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced the 27 deputy ministers who will assist him in managing the unity government.

The appointment consisted of representatives from Pakatan Harapan (PH), Barisan Nasional (BN), Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and Parti Warisan (Warisan).
