KUALA LUMPUR - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim confirms that the cash assistance for the people implemented by the previous government will be continued.
He said aid scheduled to be paid in March would be brought forward to January after taking into consideration the burden felt by the people right now.
"The first phase of payments will benefit almost nine million recipients with the allocation of RM2 billion involving RM300 for each household and RM100 for the bachelors.
"I hope this early distirbution will help ease the burden of the people," he said this while tabling the Consolidated Fund (Expenditure on Account) Bill 2022 at the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday.
