PASIR GUDANG - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has passed the people's rating, says Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub.

The Pulai MP said the country's development activities have clearly shown the public’s confidence in Anwar’s leadership in leading the unity government and the country.

"The media reported that the Malays were dissatisfied with the government's performance as the Unity government enters its 100th day in power. This is merely a study. I have not looked at the date yet.

"But what is important is that Anwar’s rating as prime minister has passed the people's rating, as they express high ‘confidence’ in Anwar's leadership.

Salahuddin was met a press conference after officiating the 2023 Johor State level Youth Entrepreneur Programme (PUM 20W3) at Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan, here, on Sunday.

Also present were KPDN (User Empowerment) Deputy Secretary-General Datin Roszanina Wahab, Companies Commission Malaysia chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Nor Azimah Abdul Aziz, Polytechnic and Community College Education Department Governorate Deputy Director-General Kamaludin Daud, Johor Bahru Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan director Ts Noor Aidi Nadzri, as well as Waqaf an-Nur Executive Chief Bukhairi Abd Rahman.

According to the 100 Days of Unity Government Administration Survey, people in this country approved of Anwar's appointment as Prime Minister following the 15th General Election (GE15).

The survey, which was conducted by five mainstream media outlets in collaboration with a research firm, O2 Research, involved 35,077 respondents of various races.

The survey found that the people’s sentiments towards the country’s economic situation were fairly balanced and that Malaysia was headed in the right direction.

However, the unity government's 100-day score card was slightly damaged due to the people’s satisfaction with the government’s efforts and confidence in fulfilling the manifesto.

The low score was contributed by the very low sentiment among the West Malaysians.

Earlier in his speech, he said the unity government's honeymoon period since taking over the government is over and focus should be placed on people-centric efforts.

"The Madani government and the people must band together to develop this country," he added.
