Fight in private, not out in the open, Ismail Sabri advices Umno and DAP

Ismail said he made the statement as an advice for the two parties to strengthen their relationship.
The Bera MP said as someone who was older, he wanted to advice both DAP and UMNO to not fight in public, as disagreements in the media and out in open will only lead to a negative perception of the top leadership of both parties.
"When you fight openly using the media, everyone will read it. So the people think that the party leaders are not on the same page because they are fighting with each other.
"To get a happy household, fight in private, pick rooms and fight in closed places, then no one will be able to see
"The elders used to say don't fight in the yard, or the side of the yard because the neighbors and passers-by can see, so everyone can know our problems ," he said on Wednesday.
He said this after buying Raya clothes for 41 residents of the Asnaf Al-Barakh Charity Home in Keramat who are aged eight months to 14 years.
Earlier Kedah Pakatan Harapan chairman, Datuk Mahfuz Omar criticized Ismail Sabri's statement which likened the unuty government to a 'forced marriage'.
According to the former Pokok Sena Member of Parliament, the cooperation or relationship in question can be considered as a marriage arranged by 'parents' who had brought together the two major coalitions.
Ismail added that he hoped that all parties will shift their focus towards the upcoming state elections.
"If we are fighting, how can we cooperate. If the state elections takes place in June, time is running out, there is only a month left.
"Therefore, I hope we focus on the election, stop fighting openly. When people seem to attack each other, it's not good," he explained.
He also commented on grassroots acceptance of Umno's and DAP's cooperation.
"In the beginning, the people may be surprised considering that before the two parties were not on the same page.
"However, the state elections will show us what is the view," he said
