KUALA LUMPUR - Umno’s Wanita Wing meeting took an amusing turn when its Chief Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad jested on the colourful antics of Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor.

"He looks cute. That's what I thought when I saw his TikTok videos," Noraini quipped, sending the delegates who attended the wing's general meeting at the party headquarters into a fit of laughter.

"But he sweats, though. He sweats a lot. He's famous, and he sings too. Rock songs to boot, but I can see that not everything he shares (on his social media) is true," said Noraini as she was winding up the wing's general meeting for the year 2023.

Among the so-called "uncertain news" that Noraini claimed Sanusi had been spreading was the infamous Kedah-Penang claim controversy.

"Penang is owned by Kedah; that's the actual fact," Noraini clarified.

Sanusi garnered notoriety when he reportedly said, on May 29, that Kedah and Penang do not have a border because the latter belonged to the former, adding that Kedah only has a border with Perak and Perlis.

Following the contentious remark, DAP Chairman Lim Guan Eng urged Penangites to protest and lodge police reports on Sanusi.

Lim claimed that Sanusi's statement was "dangerous" to the people of Penang as it teetered on the state's sovereignty.
