PUTRAJAYA - The Court of Appeal today granted Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor the temporary release of her passport to visit her daughter Nooryana Najwa Najib and her family in Singapore.

A three-member bench led by Justice Datuk N Ravinthran, Datuk Ahmad Zaidi Ibrahim and Datuk Azman Abdullah allowed the application after hearing submissions from Rosmah’s lawyer, Datuk Jagjit Singh.

The passport will be released today for Rosmah to be in Singapore between June 15 and July 7.

She is required to surrender her passport to the court on or by July 7.

Rosmah previously filed a motion notice on June 2 through Messrs. Akberdin & Co. to allow her to travel abroad for four weeks from June 6 to July 7.

In the notice, Rosmah requested to visit her eldest daughter who now lives in Singapore.

Previously, the wife of jailed former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had obtained her passport temporarily twice to visit Nooryana, who was expected to give birth to her second child in Singapore on Oct 15, 2021 and to visit her sick grandchildren on March 21.

"Out of a sense of humility, I am requesting permission to obtain my passport temporarily so I can visit my daughter and her family in Singapore," said Rosmah in her supporting affidavit.
