Kelantan PH expects fierce battle for 20 Pas-held state seats

PASIR PUTEH - A total of 20 seats in the State Legislative Assembly currently held by Pas in Kelantan are expected to be heavily contested in the upcoming State Elections.

Kelantan Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Muhammad Husain said this projection is based on the combined votes received by PH and Barisan Nasional (BN) in the previous general elections.

"This position encourages us, both for PH and BN, to continue working hard to ensure victory in the upcoming elections.

"Alhamdulillah, our cooperation is growing stronger, and we are prepared to face Pas," he said during a press conference on Tuesday.

Earlier, he presided over the Aid Delivery Ceremony for the Agro-Industry Farmer Income Improvement Program for Paddy at the Kemubu Agricultural Development Authority Office in Selising.

According to him, PH will be contesting 14 out of the 45 state seats in the upcoming state polls.

He mentioned that these seats include Limbongan (Pasir Puteh); Tawang (Bachok); Kadok (Ketereh); Panchor (Pengkalan Chepa); Tanjong Mas; Kota Lama (Kota Bharu); Pasir Tumbuh; Demit (Kubang Kerian); Bukit Panau (Tanah Merah); Chetok (Rantau Panjang); Pasir Mas (Pengkalan Pasir); Mengkebang (Kuala Krai); Temangan (Machang), and Pasir Pekan (Tumpat).

Muhammad also disclosed that the list of candidate names had been submitted to the top leadership of PH for their decision.
