SHAH ALAM – Local rapper and entrepreneur Caprice plans to gift a a sports utility vehicle (SUV) to a lucky fan to mark the end to the defamation suit brought against him by prominent businessman Datuk SM Faisal SM Nasimuddin Kamal, at the Sessions Court here today.

Caprice or his real name Ariz Ramli, 36 in a video through his instagram account said a Kia Sportage SUV will be given for free to a lucky follower.

"To celebrate the end of the suit, I will give the SUV away because Emilia (Hanafi) also could not be present in court as a witness.

"I apologise, I will carry out a campaign called Stop Violence at Home, Insya-Allah," he said when met after the court proceedings.

The suit was on an alleged defamatory post that Caprice had uploaded on his Instagram account about SM Faisal and the case involving his ex-wife, Emilia Hanafi.

Earlier, SM Faisal's suit against Caprice was resolved, after he had issued an apology, the apology was also uploaded onto his instagram account.

Lawyer Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kader, who represented SM Faisal as the plaintiff, said both sides were able to reach an agreement.

"The terms of agreement between the defendant Caprice is to issue and upload an apology on his Instagram account within a period of 48 hours, while other terms, including costs, will not be revealed nor disclosed.

"The defendant has already issued an apology to the plaintiff in person," he told reporters after the agreement proceedings in front of Judge Azian Othman in chambers.
