Current government talks but takes no action – Takiyuddin

KUALA LUMPUR – Time to replace the current government because they "do not walk the talk", Pas secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan labels the Unity Government.
“We need to leave the current government, which does not pursue what they say and its all just talks. Some people call it a NATO government, which stands for No Action Talk Only,” he said during a Ceramah Umum at Taman Melawati on Wednesday.
He claimed that the government was wallowed in 47 corruption cases despite Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim being adamant about curbing graft cases in the country.
He added that political issues should be addressed on the political stage but ironically, Anwar, who was once against sedition, was the one to be quiet about it.
“We are suspecting that there is something behind chief prosecutor, (Datuk) Raja Rozela (Raja Toran) quitting the case of (Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad) Zahid Hamidi and thinking that it is not because she actually quit, but she was asked to.
“There is something wrong somewhere,” said Takiyuddin, referring to the issue of Zahid's case where he was accused of misappropriating RM31 million of charity foundation Yayasan Akal Budi (YAB) funds.
He said he was convinced about the hypocrisy of the government as highlighted before in regards to the government being quiet about sedition to other parties to support them and continue going against the opposition.
