KUALA TERENGGANU - Four friends braved over 10 hours of driving in their antique cars to their hometowns to perform their responsibilities for the state elections on Saturday.

Wan Zabri Wan Nor, 48, said he drove from Johor Bahru in a convoy with his friends Mohd Firdaus Mat Wi, 34, Addy Paint, 35 and Wan Kasim, 38, after their subuh prayers to return to their respective hometowns in Kelantan.

He said he stopped near the Gemuruh Toll Plaza, Kuala Terengganu to rest before continuing the journey back to his hometown in Jeli, Kelantan.

“I took time off to return and vote. Three of my friends and I took the opportunity to return together to Kelantan in a convoy.

“We drove the antique Volkswagen released in 1960 as a change of pace to liven the election environment that happens once every five years,” he said when met by Sinar on Friday.

Eventhough he has to attend an event in Songkhal, Thailand on Sunday, Mohd Firdaus said, he wouldn't want to forgo his responsibilities in the elections.
