ALOR SETAR - Jeneri State Assembly Member Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor has forgiven all the continuous attacks directed towards him by his opponents.

Sanusi, who is also the Kedah Perikatan Nasional (PN) Chairman said he also forgives Home Minister Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, who had launched attacks against him, especially during the campaign period.

"As for myself, Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, who has been relentlessly attacked from all directions, front, back, top, bottom, left, right, with various accusations and criticisms, I forgive all of those attacks.

"To those who have been hurt, if you also forgive, you can say it yourself, I can't represent you, maybe you don't forgive Pudin (Saifuddin), I don't know.

"But on my part, I forgive. If he continues to do so, we will fight back.

"After that, we'll see whether to forgive or retaliate," he said while speaking at an event at the Kedah State Complex yesterday evening.

At the same time, Muhammad Sanusi also extended an apology to anyone who felt offended by PN throughout the two-week election campaign.

He stated that the apology was based on the principle of 'Ukhuwah Islamiyah' (Islamic Brotherhood) and the teachings of Islamic spiritual leaders.

"On behalf of the entire PN election machinery, I apologise and ask for forgiveness from all the people of Kedah and other states who may have been offended by the campaign we conducted.

"Some actions were unintentional, some were necessary, some were provoked, and at times, we were in too much pain to hold back. So, we let it out so that you could also feel what we feel," he said.

Meanwhile, Sanusi, also urged the public not to mock the leaders of Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN), namely Datuk Mahfuz Omar, Datuk Dr. Ismail Salleh, and Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid, who experienced defeats in the election.

"This is in line with the advice of the late Menteri Besar, Allahyarham Tan Sri Azizan Abdul Razak, that we should never kick those who have fallen.

"Let's pray for their peaceful retirement. They failed in the parliamentary elections, and they also failed in the state elections.

"Actually, it's not just their personal failure but the failure of their struggle. The people of Kedah cannot accept it," he said.

In the Kedah State Election, PN successfully maintained its control over Kedah by winning 33 out of 36 State Legislative Assembly seats.

This victory simultaneously allows PN, supported by Pas and Bersatu, to continue leading the administration of the Kedah State Government.
