RSN Rayer appointed as head of Penang Hindu Endowment Board

SHAH ALAM - Jelutong MP RSN Rayer has been appointed as the new chairman of the Penang Hindu Endowment Board (PHEB).
Rayer assumed the role on Aug 30 and will serve until July 31 2024, as confirmed by Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.
Rayer has been a part of the PHEB since 2008, previously serving as a commissioner and deputy chairman.
Chow expressed hope that Rayer would enhance the board's overall performance in his congratulatory message to the Jelutong MP.
"On behalf of the Penang State Government, we extend our heartfelt congratulations on this appointment, and we hope that Rayer will further enhance the overall performance of the board.
"He will soon announce further details regarding the composition of the Penang PHEB Commissioners for the same tenure," Chow wrote on his Facebook today.
Rayer is expected to announce the new composition of PHEB commissioners soon.
PHEB is a statutory organisation established under the Hindu Endowments Act of 1906, responsible for managing endowments such as land, buildings, houses, burial grounds, temples, and funds allocated for the benefit of the Hindu community in Penang.
Rayer succeeds the former three-term Perai assemblyman and Penang deputy chief minister P Ramasamy.
