ALOR SETAR - Kedah Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor confirmed that he has given evidence to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) regarding the theft of rare earth elements (REE) in Bukit Enggang, Sik.

He said the meet-up with the graft busters took place last Sunday (last week) at his office in Alor Setar.

According to him, MACC only took evidence by asking four questions related to REE, but no related documents were submitted.

"Everything is finished. Just four questions, I'm not a bad person that I need to be bombarded by questions I am known as a good person, even a little questioning is enough," he said at a press conference after the swearing-in ceremony of the Speaker, Deputy Speaker and Member of the State Assembly (DUN) at the Kedah State Assembly (DUN), on Monday.

Sanusi said that there was no need to panic because it was an internal matter of the administration and it was done according to the proper procedure.

"Not everything needs to be informed to the media, if every questioning process by each department or agency has to be informed that would be the end of the state government.

"There is no need to inform if its the Kedah or Putrajaya MACC, later there will be all kinds of speculations.

"The important thing is that I have met with MACC officials and answered all four questions," he said.

“Finish it! Don't dig up all sort of things! All kinds of things also you want to know. That one is for the angels (malaikat) to record.

"Whatever we do in this life it will be recorded by the angels (malaikat). If its a ggod thing the angels on the right shoulder will write it down and if its a bad thing the angels on the left will take record and it will all be recorded in a book for the afterlife," he said.

On Sept 11, MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki informed that the investigation is in its final stages but there are several things to look at in terms of the context of law and procedure.

Before that, MACC had obtained new leads that were examined before Sanusi was called to testify.
