ALOR SETAR - A distraught husband is offering a RM5,000 reward for any information that leads to the whereabouts of his wife, who has been missing for over four months.

Mohd Rosmizar Ishak, 43, expressed his grave concern for his wife, Marziani Akmar Abu Bakar, 42, who was last seen on July 21 driving to their home in Kubor Panjang, Pendang.

After that, all attempts to contact her have been unsuccessful.

Rosmizar, who is also a contractor, added that he had reached out to Marziani Akmar's friends and acquaintances, but none had any leads about her whereabouts.

He also added that a police report was filed on July 25 due to concerns about his wife's safety.

"I shared the news of my wife's disappearance on social media as one way to locate her.

"Some people contacted me and tried to help, but until today, she has not been found. I offer a reward to anyone who has information until my wife is found," he said when contacted by Sinar today.

Rosmizar clarified that their marriage, which entered its 16th year on Nov 22, has not been blessed with children.

According to him, Marziani Akmar, contacted one of his colleagues at a Kedah government agency to borrow RM1,800 to settle someone's loan on Aug 23.

He explained that the officer tried to locate his wife, but Marziani Akmar informed them that she was still in Kedah and said that she had mistakenly chosen the wrong friend.

"I don't know the number my wife used. I am puzzled why she didn't contact me when she needed help.

"Since she went missing, she has also not been going to work and is unreachable," he said.

Rosmizar hopes that his wife will return soon as other family members eagerly await her return.
