SHAH ALAM - Some members of the public are questioning the failure to receive the RM100 e-Madani e-wallet credit despite feeling eligible for the initiative.

A survey conducted by Sinar today found that several individuals were dissatisfied and disappointed after being unable to claim the credit.

Private sector employee Farina Rauf, 27, said that she still could not claim the e-Madani credit even after filling in all the required information accurately.

"According to my information, I've filled in all the necessary details correctly and my salary is below RM100,000 annually, so I'm not sure why I did not received it.

"On the first day, I attempted to redeem the e-Madani credit on Monday through the Touch 'n Go (TnG) platform but failed.

"Today, I tried another platform, the MAE application and I'm currently waiting for the result," she told Sinar.

Previously, social media was abuzz when some individuals failed to claim the RM100 e-Madani credit.

Some believed that the failure to claim the initiative could be due to various factors, including not completing income tax information through the e-filing method.

Meanwhile, customer service employee Intan Nor Sazwani Che Ahmad, 28, shared that she faced a similar situation after being informed of her failure to receive the e-Madani credit yesterday.

She said that the government should provide an explanation to those unable to claim the credit.

"The condition for applying for e-Madani is that the applicant must earn an annual salary of less than RM100,000, but the application was still unsuccessful.

"It's like giving false hope to the applicants.

"If these conditions are part of the application, the posters should be more transparent so that applicants know the actual eligibility criteria," she said.

On the other hand, homemaker Nur Zaffan D’Laila Johari expressed disappointment for not receiving the initiative despite applying through two different platforms.

"I'm not sure why I didn't receive it.

"I applied for e-Madani on Monday through TnG and Shopee, but I just received notification that it was unsuccessful.

"Many have received it, but as a homemaker, I certainly need that e-Madani assistance during difficult times," she explained.
