PETALING JAYA - A man was arrested after he hit his child and wife when their three-year-old urinated on the sofa in an incident that occurred in Lembah Subang near here on Sunday.

The 29-year-old was arrested a day after the incident.

Petaling Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fakhruddin Abdul Hamid said that the incident allegedly took place at their home at about 11.50am.

"Investigations revealed that the suspect's son urinated on the sofa in the living room of the said house.

"The 29-year-old suspect is believed to have failed to control his anger and hit his son and wife," he said today.

He said that the man was remanded for further investigations regarding the incident.

"The case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code, Section 18A of the Domestic Violence Act, and Section 31 (1)(a) of the Child Act 2001," he added.
