SHAH ALAM - Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) denies rumours that the party has split into two camps.

Bersatu Supreme Leadership Council (MPT) member Datuk Eddin Syazlee Shith said so far all members were still steadfast and always supported the leadership of its President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin.

"We discussed several things including the proposed constitutional amendment to re-strengthen the party.

"Generally, a split is just an unfounded allegation.

"I don't see any issue of division when all members voice their hearts and most importantly explain everything," he said when contacted by Sinar.

Recently, Bukit Gantang MP Datuk Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal, who is also a member of Bersatu, revealed that the party was divided into two groups, the 'President's Camp' and the 'Secretary-General’s Camp'.

The matter allegedly happened following Muhyiddin's action to make a U-turn after announcing that he would not defend his position in the next election.
