KEPALA BATAS - Bertam Resort and Water Park in Bertam is gearing up to unveil its newest attraction: 16 upscale villas. The eight-hectare property, owned by Maritime Waterfront Suites Sdn Bhd, caters to those seeking a blend of luxury and adventure.

Expected to be fully completed and open for bookings in September, these villas add a touch of sophistication to the five-star Moroccan-themed water park and resort.

With an investment of RM90 million, the resort has been a popular destination for tourists since last year.

Maritime Waterfront Sdn Bhd's director, Datuk Mohammed Iqbal S. Habeeb Noohu, informed Bernama that the development of these well-being concept villas is currently at 70 percent completion, promising a unique experience where modern luxury meets traditional Moroccan aesthetics.

"The third phase of this project introduces a new level of exclusivity with the luxury villas. It is set to be open for reservations in September,” he said.

At present, the resort has 300 rooms at various price points, ranging from RM390 to RM5,000, with the most expensive being the "pool suite," equipped with a 15-metre swimming pool.
