GrabFood 5-Star label boosts sales by 50 per cent for local restaurants
Gepuk House and Deens Maju share success stories of GrabFood 5-Star impact

SHAH ALAM – The GrabFood 5-Star label represents not just a mark of high customer satisfaction but also a significant boost to business, leading to a 50 per cent increase in sales, especially during peak hours.
Gepuk House Restaurant owner Muhammad Afif Mohd Afandi shared that the GrabFood 5-Star rating has helped build trust among customers, encouraging them to choose restaurants with high ratings.
According to Afif, being part of the GrabFood platform has expanded his restaurant’s reach, introducing it to a wider audience.
“One major benefit is the increased visibility within the GrabFood app. With a higher rating, my restaurant often appears at the top of search results, giving us more exposure," he said.

He added that GrabFood's user-friendly features, including an efficient ordering system, have been invaluable.
“GrabFood Ads allow us to reach customers who may not have heard of us before. The app also provides useful sales performance analytics that help us make better business decisions,” he told Sinar recently.

Afif became involved with GrabFood 5-Star after hearing about its advantages from other business owners who had already earned the recognition.
His peers shared how the programme led to more orders and better support from GrabFood.
“Since I wanted to grow my business, I signed up and saw the potential in this programme," he said.

One memorable experience for Afif was receiving positive feedback from a customer who praised the fast delivery and consistent food quality. “They said they chose us because of the GrabFood 5-Star rating and they’ve become a loyal customer ever since. Feedback like this keeps our team motivated to deliver the best service,” he said.
Afif also encouraged other business owners to focus on improving the quality of their food and services in order to achieve a 5-Star rating.
“A good rating is only sustainable if you consistently provide a satisfying experience for customers. Make full use of GrabFood’s tools and analytics to help grow your business,” he said.
Meanwhile, Deens Maju Restaurant owner Tajudeen S Jamaldeen revealed that achieving GrabFood 5-Star recognition had earned his restaurant a spot in the app’s recommended section, making it easier for customers to find.

“After we received a high number of five-star ratings from customers, GrabFood listed us in the recommendations category on the main page. This helped new customers discover our restaurant without needing to search for it," he said.
Tajudeen added that despite increased competition, the 5-Star recognition helped maintain sales, with a slight boost in certain months compared to previous years.

“The 5-Star banner displayed next to our restaurant’s name on the GrabFood app gives customers confidence in our service. Customers from outside the state or country often place orders based on this recommendation.
“GrabFood is one of the best platforms for online sales. It simplifies every aspect of the business. I also find it easy to communicate with GrabFood representatives to resolve any issues quickly,” Tajudeen said.
