World #QuranHour aims 10,000 participants
WUIF CEO Marhaini Yusoff said the World #QuranHour is not limited to any particular group but is for everyone, as the Quran is a timeless miracle and guide for life.

SHAH ALAM - The World #QuranHour programme which is taking place today aims to bring together around 10,000 participants to foster unity among the ummah and incorporate the Quran into daily life.
Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation (WUIF) chief executive officer Marhaini Yusoff said around 3,000 participants have registered so far, but many have expressed interest in attending without formal registration.
She encouraged everyone to register promptly to facilitate the arrangement of participants according to the designated rows.
"This time, it’s slightly different—we will organise participants into rows based on three main categories: Umarak (leaders), Ulama (religious scholars) and Ummah (community), symbolising the importance of each group in building collective strength guided by the Quran.
"What’s exciting is that Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah will grace the World #QuranHour programme, alongside other distinguished guests such as Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar and many more," she told Sinar, today.

To encourage participation, the organiser has also introduced the "Saf Challenge" where the first 100 participants to post pictures of neatly arranged rows on social media will stand a chance to receive duit raya (festive cash gifts).
For the record, WUIF has spent a decade promoting interaction with the Quran through campaigns to read, understand and practice its teachings.
Held at the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Mosque, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Gombak on March 25, this year’s highly anticipated event carries a significant mission based on Surah Al-Saff and the theme #SavingTheUmmah.
The programme will be broadcast live on several major television channels such as Astro Oasis and Bernama TV, while TV Alhijrah will air it on April 4.

Marhaini added that apart from Quran recitation, the gathering will also highlight WUIF's initiative, a movement to collect various forms of contributions ahead of the Hari Raya celebration.
"We want to create a society that not only reads the Quran but also practices its values of compassion and giving.
"This is part of our 10-year mission to cultivate a culture aligned with the Quran, including prayer, charity and kindness," she said.
Marhaini said the World #QuranHour is not limited to any particular group but is for everyone, as the Quran is a timeless miracle and guide for life.
"The Quran is a life manual providing guidance on various aspects, including leadership, business and personal development.
"If we truly adhere to its teachings, we can become stronger and more united as an ummah," she added.
