A 20-year-old student pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here today to committing physical sexual assault on a 10-month-old girl whom his mother was babysitting.

A construction worker was sentenced to three years in prison and one stroke of the cane by the Sessions Court today after pleading guilty to committing physical sexual assault on a girl in an elevator last week.

The Court of Appeal today reduced the 34-year prison sentence of a man convicted of physical sexual assault of his three young daughters to 26 years.

In a unanimous decision, the court dismissed the final appeal by Hazmi Majid, 42, to set aside his conviction and sentence.
