SHAH ALAM – Putrajaya has been told to spend cautiously but not to a point it might affect the public service delivery system.

Cuepacs president Datuk Adnan Mat said there are several vacant key positions in the civil service, especially in health, security and service that deal directly with the public.

“Cuepacs will not tolerate it if the savings or cuts affect the public service delivery system.

However, some of the other measures are appropriate and civil servants need to look into it," he said.

Adnan further said they hope the cuts would not have an impact on initiatives announced in Budget 2022, such as 80 days of unclaimed leave days which he said has not been implemented.
