SHAH ALAM - It is now time to hunt Malaysian businessman Low Taek Jho or well known as Jho Low in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal, says Muda President Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.

This comes after claims by Bradley Hope, the co-author of the Billion Dollar Whale had said Jho Low was last seen in 2019 in China and his whereabouts had been unknown since the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Muar MP said efforts to track down and bring back Jho Low could unravel new insights into billion ringgit scandal as it involves the country's debt.

"The government should push China on Jho Low.

"Is it true that he (Jho Low) lives there? If yes then how could he be there without being caught? This is a question we could formally ask them (China)," he said.

Sinar Harian reported that Interpol was actively tracking down Jho Low with the help of Interpol.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said investigations were also carried out by Singapore and United States.

Syed Saddiq added the agreement between Malaysia and China could be achieved as both countries have a good diplomatic relations and are strategic trade partners.
