SHAH ALAM - While not dismissing the likelihood that another round of politicking may surface after the national polls have ended, a voter in Shah Alam believes that such a matter should not deter Malaysians from casting their ballots.

Sivaranjini Raman, told Sinar Daily that no matter what happens the citizen of Malaysia should perform their duties to the country and vote in the 15th General Election (GE15) stressing that "each vote matters."

"And yes, even if there will be some form of a political agenda or manoeuvring after our votes were cast; there could be coalition between a few parties and so on, but as for me, I vote based on candidates, not the party.

"I hope all the youngsters will come out and vote because right now, I can see that the majority here are from the older generation. Perhaps they will come after lunch, said the 35 year-old.

When asked about her hopes for the future government, Sivaranjini wished that the soon-to-be-elected government to focus more on the youths given how they will be the country's future.

"There are more young leaders coming in, so please help to look into young leaders on how to groom them for a better Malaysia's future.

"I think it's time to make way for them to lead Malaysia," said Sivaranjini who has been voting since last three general elections at the polling centre in Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seksyen 18, here today.
