KAJANG - The boy who was found sitting alone at the roadside with bruises all over his body at Cheras Utama, here is still traumatised and refuses to speak.

Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zaid Hassan said the victim who was around three to four years old seemed to find it difficult to communicate although there was an intrepreter speaking to him.

"When the interpreter spoke in Rohingya, the child looked like he did not understand. He did not want to speak, but he could write the numbers one to 10 in Malay, English and Chinese.

"However, he still does not want to speak and only smiled. Maybe he is still in a state of trauma," he said at a press conference after launching the 19th Op Selamat in conjunction with Chinese New Year at the Kajang Toll Plaza at Kajang-Seremban Highway (Lekas), today.

On Monday, it was reported that the police were still waiting for the medical report of the boy who was found with injuries on his body, hands, fingers and forehead on Friday.
