SHAH ALAM - Former Selangor Umno chairman Tan Sri Noh Omar has yet to decide on what his future plans are after being axed from the party.

He likened his sacking to a divorce, where he was still in his 'iddah' period and was now taking the time to just rest and reflect on his next move.

The iddah is a waiting period that a Muslim woman observes after the death of her husband or after a divorce.

Noh said he would not be appealing the decision to remove him from the party.

"There is no use in appealing the decision, since I was not even given a change to defend myself.

"Who can I appeal to since the supreme council has decided. I have to accept the facts even if I am sad. Umno has been good to me, under its policies as a village boy I could pursue my studies in London and eventually became a lawyer.

"When I saw the decision being made without abiding to the rules and constitution of the party, I couldn't accept it. My principles are to hold on to the constitution that is why we have the Rukun Negara that is the supremacy of the constitution and the law," he said.

Noh was a guest on the Sinar Live programme entitled 'Sacked by Umno: Fight or Move On? conducted by host Hazwan Mokhtar and broadcasted live on all Sinar Harian social media platforms.

Commenting on his plans, Noh said he will take a break before making his next decision
