KUALA LUMPUR - Umno can no longer be relied on to fight for the rights of Malays, Bumiputeras and the interests of Muslims.

Bersatu President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the party is now a minority party in a coalition dominated by Pakatan Harapan (PH).

He said democracy in Umno is dead and the constitution is also violated just to protect the interests of individuals.

The purpose has changed, these individuals are also protected by the PH leadership for the sake of power.

"With the enforcement of this individual in Umno, PH will continue to be in power. Umno under this individual is no longer concerned over Malay political power," he said.

He said this while speaking at the Presidential Policy speech during Bersatu's General Assembly at Menara PGRM here.

Muhyiddin added it is the end of Umno's life but the rise and fall of the party was not his problem.

"We are worried about the future of Malays and Muslims, the longer they (Umno) are left in power the more damage will be done and the harder it will be to repair.
