BUTTERWORTH - Former Bagan Dalam assemblyman Satees Muniandy has questioned DAP's decision to sack him from the party, even though he had already resigned from the party.

Satees said he had sent a letter of resignation to DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke on July 28.

"I didn't publish the letter leaving the party as the contents were internal matters of the party.

"However, the Party Discipline Board chairman's statement forced me to upload this letter to be publicly seen," he wrote on his personal Facebook account today.

Sates's name was among four that DAP sacked for going against candidates in the elections to represent a state assembly or Parliament. The other three members were Perai independent incumbent David Marshel, Kuala Kubu Bahru incumbent contending under the Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM) ticket Chng Boon Lai and Pandamaran, Selangor incumbent contesting under Perikatan Nasional (PN) ticket Gunalan Balakrishnan.

DAP Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham said the four members had been sacked effective immediately.

Sates said he was surprised by DAP's decision to sack him, even though he had already resigned from the party.

"I am not sure why they are still taking action against me, even though I am no longer a member of the party," he said.
