JOHOR BAHRU - The Puteri Wangsa state seat owned by Muda was won with the support of Pakatan Harapan (PH) at the Johor state election in March last year.

Johor PH deputy chairman Aminolhuda Hassan said despite Muda not joining PH at the time, they agreed to have an electoral pact.

He explained through the election, DAP and Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) agreed to give six state seats to Muda which were Tenang, Bukit Kepong, Parit Raja, Machap, Puteri Wangsa and Bukit Permai.

"Muda's leadership must learn from history instead of being arrogant or simply making a populist move. Remember how they achieved their victory in Puteri Wangsa.

"We (PH) gave the path based on the electoral pact, but now they have betrayed us by withdrawing support for the unity government," he said when contacted on Wednesday.

Aminolhuda who is also the Amanah chairman said the Puteri Wangsa seat incumbent Amira Aisya Abd Aziz should return the seat to PH.

"Amira Aisya who is the Muda deputy president has two choices, first to leave Muda and join Amanah or resign as the Assemblyman and return the Puteri Wangsa state seat to Amanah," he said.

Muda on Monday was reported to be no longer staying in the PH bloc in Johor after they had stopped cooperating and were no longer partial to the political coalition.

Meanwhile Stulang state assemblyman Andrew Chen Kah Eng said the measure was appropriate based on the latest decision announced by Muda after no longer having the same views with PH on some matters.
