SHAH ALAM – Reality TV star and businesswoman Kylie Jenner found herself in the midst of a social media storm after she shared and subsequently deleted a pro-Israel message on Instagram.

Jenner, 26, reposted a graphic from StandWithUs, a California-based nonprofit organisation that advocates for Israel on Saturday night.

The post carried a message that called for solidarity with the people of Israel during what was described as ‘one of the most frightening situations in many years’, with the graphic emphasised unwavering support for Israel.

However, Jenner swiftly removed the post from her Instagram story not long after sharing it, following a barrage of pro-Palestine comments from her followers.

The move which came as violence escalated in the Israel-Palestine conflict over the weekend, drew attention and comparisons to her former friend, supermodel Bella Hadid, who had been an outspoken supporter of Palestine.

Amid the online discourse, other famous figures such as Lebanese former adult film actress Mia Khalifa also weighed in on the conflict.

Khalifa made a series of tweets to defend Palestine and criticised what she perceived as Western hypocrisy in addressing geopolitical tensions.

She also called for support for Palestinians and challenged those who remained silent on the issue.
