Suspects threatening McDonald's customers have no link with KK Mart case – Police

They had no involvement in the case as assumed by some parties.

KUANTAN - Five men who were arrested for causing provocation and criminal threats against customers of a fast-food restaurant, McDonald's in Sungai Isap here are not related to the recent case of throwing a petrol bomb on the premises of a convenience store KK Mart nearby.

Kuantan District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu said the suspects had no involvement in the case as assumed by some parties.

He said the investigation of the KK Mart case was still ongoing, but there were no new leads so far.

"The suspects are now remanded until Wednesday and are being investigated under Section 506 and Section 336 of the Penal Code.

"The police are completing the investigation papers for further action," he said when contacted on Tuesday.

All the suspects aged between 27 and 43 years old were detained in the Detective Standby room at the Kuantan District Police Headquarters (IPD) on Saturday following a police report made by the 40-year-old victim.
