SHAH ALAM – With Ramadan's arrival, bustling bazaars see a surge in food vendors. However, a concerning trend has emerged: buyers using DuitNow online applications fail to complete QR code payments, leaving vendors unpaid.

This issue, while appearing as a successful transaction to the buyer, stems from various factors, chief among them, potential fraud.

Technical glitches, such as incorrect button presses or a lack of digital literacy, also contribute to the problem.

Instead of assigning blame, focusing on preventative measures proves more effective.

User @JaznynaA recommended the MaybankQrPayBiz app, which makes a "Ka-Ching" sound whenever a payment is successfully received.

While it does not announce the exact amount like a Soundbox, it provides a simple alert to let vendors know that money has been transferred, reducing the chances of missed payments.

Meanwhile, @qtpilove shared a Shopee link to purchase the Soundbox, which is branded with Touch 'n Go and priced at around RM150.

This device ensures seamless transactions between vendors and buyers.
