A TASTE OF HERITAGE

Kari Ayam, or Malaysian chicken curry, is a dish deeply woven into the cultural fabric of Malaysia and Indonesia.

Known for its soul-soothing qualities and aromatic depth, it’s made with tender chicken pieces simmered in a rich sauce of coconut milk, tomatoes, onions, garlic, and a medley of spices such as turmeric, cumin, fennel, anise, and cinnamon.

Lemongrass, curry leaves, and pandan infuse the curry with distinctive Southeast Asian notes, while ghee adds a silky mouthfeel.

Traditionally, Malaysians prepare Kari Ayam in a clay pot, which retains heat and preserves the dish’s full flavor by allowing it to cook gently in its own juices.
