Rafizi opts out of PM's meeting, citing prior knowledge of judicial explanation
Nik Nazmi stated that he was unable to attend the meeting as he had to participate in a pre-planned official visit to Singapore.

SHAH ALAM – Two MPs from PKR Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, did not attend a meeting between Pakatan Harapan (PH) MPs and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the Seri Perdana Complex, Putrajaya, on Monday.
It was reported that Rafizi, who is also the former Economy Minister said he was already aware of the explanation Anwar was expected to give during the meeting.

"I had already received an explanation on the matter several months ago. So, I anticipated the Prime Minister would be offering the same clarification," Rafizi said.
He clarified that previously, the issue had not become a national concern and the explanation was given only to a few individuals.
"I believe that’s why the Prime Minister preferred to hold a closed-door meeting with MPs rather than explain it publicly, as he feels there is sensitive information involved which I have been aware of for several months, even before I resigned as economy minister,” Rafizi said.
Meanwhile, Nik Nazmi stated that he was unable to attend the meeting as he had to participate in a pre-planned official visit to Singapore.
Earlier, Rafizi, along with eight other PKR MPs, had urged the government to establish a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) to investigate allegations of interference in judicial appointments and court decisions. These concerns have raised alarms about the independence of the country's judiciary.
On Friday, the Pandan MP also launched an online petition as part of efforts to defend the independence and integrity of Malaysia’s judicial institutions.
