PUTRAJAYA – The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) has unveiled a new corporate identity as part of a comprehensive transformation plan.
The initiative was aimed at supporting key industry players, including airlines, airports, maintenance providers and training organisations, by providing clearer guidance, streamlined certification processes and fostering closer collaboration.

The changes were also intended to align the aviation sector with international standards, including the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s (ICAO) net-zero targets and the Malaysia Aviation Decarbonisation Blueprint.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke, who officiated the launch, said the move highlighted CAAM’s renewed commitment to the sector.
“This new corporate identity is not just a new look for CAAM, but a new promise that Malaysian skies remain safe, our aviation sector resilient, and our future in global aviation secure,” he said.
CAAM Chairman Datuk Mohamed Sharil Tarmizi said the authority's role now extended beyond mere regulation.
"The new CAAM is not just about how we look, but how we carry out our roles as the regulator, raising the bar for aviation regulation, fostering innovation and ensuring our skies remain among the safest in the world,” he added.
In a related matter, CAAM Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Datuk Captain Norazman Mahmud stated that the transformation was focused on unified collaboration with the industry.
“This identity represents our commitment to strengthening oversight, embracing technology and driving sustainability. Most importantly, it reflects the unity between the Transport Ministry, our aviation stakeholders and CAAM, all aligned with a single mission to ensure safer skies and a stronger aviation future for Malaysia," he said.
