Ronald Kiandee suspended from Bersatu, slams ‘political tool’ disciplinary board
Kiandee has challenged the decision, claiming that he should have been dismissed entirely if he were truly guilty of any wrongdoing.

SHAH ALAM – Bersatu Vice-President Datuk Seri Ronald Kiandee has been suspended by the party’s disciplinary board with immediate effect.
A notice from the board, which Kiandee shared on his Facebook page, stated that the Beluran MP had breached Clause 9.1.4 of the party constitution. He has been suspended for the duration of two election cycles.
Kiandee has challenged the decision, claiming that he should have been dismissed entirely if he were truly guilty of any wrongdoing.
He highlighted his active involvement in party initiatives, such as the Reset programme, and his participation in high-level meetings with Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin in Bangkok, arguing that his actions did not warrant suspension.
“Why just suspend? If guilty, just sack me,” he stated defiantly.
The former minister also launched a scathing critique of the disciplinary board, claiming it is led by individuals with close family ties to the party leadership.
He alleged the board is being utilised as a political tool to protect the President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and a small inner circle.
According to Kiandee, the party’s focus has strayed from its collective struggle. He suggested that recent disciplinary actions are designed to ensure Muhyiddin remains the party’s ‘poster boy’ and sole candidate for Malaysia’s 11th Prime Minister.
“Anyone seen as a potential obstacle to this agenda will be removed,” he claimed.
Kiandee further alleged that a ‘yes-to-president’ faction has formed within the party, comprising individuals appointed by the President, those given roles after losing elections, and candidates promised future nominations. These individuals, he argued, are expected to maintain absolute loyalty to the leadership.
“I joined this party because I believed it was a platform to fight for a cause, not for personal political gain. Yet, what we see today is far from that spirit,” he said.
Adding his stance on the matter, Kiandee made it clear he would not be seeking a reversal of the decision.
“I will not beg. Let’s just say this appeal period is over. Period,” he said.
