A 16-year-old student pleaded not guilty at the Seremban magistrate’s court to a charge of raping his 14-year-old female friend inside a classroom of a secondary school in Ampangan in May.

The 31-year-old man is charged with raping the 31-year-old woman at an apartment unit in Bandar Bukit Jalil in Cheras at 3.30 am on Jan 22, 2023.

In the same court, the girl’s biological mother, a 37-year-old security, pleaded not guilty to a charge of abetting in the rape at the same place and date.

This disturbing case serves as a reminder of the critical need for child protection and vigilance against abuse, even within the confines of a home.
