MetMalaysia announced that bad weather is expected to affect areas in Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Yan, Pendang, and Kuala Muda in Kedah. - Bernama file photo for illustration purpose only

Based on the warning issued at 8.30am today,  the states affected are Perlis, Kedah, Penang and Perak, involving Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Perak Tengah, Bagan Datuk and Hilir Perak.
