Police are investigating the relationship between the victim and suspects and the motive behind the incident.

The 46-year old man was found dead an hour after checking in into a hotel room in Bukit Bintang

The victim was connected to a "police officer" and was accused of money laundering.

Penang police chief Datuk Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain says the fugitive, identified as Azizi Mohammad Hassan, 33, was arrested for drug offences on April 20, and escaped from the lock-up at about midnight.
