On Jan 24 this year, courts ordered Zahid Hamidi to defend himself on 47 charges of breach of trust (CBT), corruption and money laundering involving Akalbudi Foundation funds after finding that the prosecution had succeeded in proving a prima facie case.

The court was told that the cover letter to extend the implementation period of the Foreign Visa System (VLN) and E-visa to Ultra Kirana Sdn Bhd (UKSB) for six years from 2019 to 2025.
