SHAH ALAM - The main focus of the implementation of the psychometric Rasuah Busters Tag (RBTag) test is on the candidates who will be contesting in elections be it the state election or the General Election (GE).

Malaysian Community Care Foundation (MCCF) chairman Datuk Seri Halim Ishak said the test was important for those contesting to ensure that leaders which will be selected are of high integrity.

“The group of candidates who will be contesting in state elections and the GE are leaders with the highest position and they will become policy makers in the future.

“By taking the RBTag test, candidates are able to know their strengths and weaknesses.

“The test would also prove the candidates’ determination in becoming a leader who is free from corruption and abuse of power," he said on Thursday.

He said this when met during a session on the RBTag test which involved 21 politicians including several assemblymen at the Kumpulan Karangkraf complex, here.

Out of the 34 people who took the RBTag, 21 were politicians while the remaining were participants of organisations affiliated with the Rasuah Busters.

Commenting further, Halim said the test acts as a measuring tool to analyse the integrity level of individuals against corruption and abuse of power.

However, according to him, the test was not aimed at finding faults or pointing out weaknesses of those taking the test, but instead, it was the best process for self-enhancement.

“Therefore, full support from the government for the RBTag test is very much needed.

“The test is not only meant for candidates contesting in the elections but it can also be implemented on civil servants and the corporate sectors,” Halim said.
