KENINGAU - Two helicopters belonging to the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) were deployed to deliver food supplies to residents, including school dormitories in Kampung Pangaraan, Nabawan in Sabah.

The two EC 725 AP-type helicopters from Squadron No 5 gave away 1.35 tonnes of essentials and basic food items.

Pensiangan MP Arthur Joseph Kurup said the 45-kilometre road to the village was cut off due to floods, and the construction work is almost completed for vehicles to use since Sunday.

"But the reconstruction of five bridges that drifted away during a severe flood may take a longer, said Arthur who is also the Deputy Works Minister, said

Food items delivered were cooking oil, flour, sugar, milk, chicken, meat, fish, sardines, biscuits and basic cooking utensils and various kitchen items either wet or dry.
