SHAH ALAM - The constant writings on former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's Facebook page does not reflect the poor condition of his health, PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli said.

Rafizi said Najib seemed to have free access to the outside world, which might confirm allegations related to special treatment for 'dove' in prison.

Over the past few days, there have been allegations of special treatment being given to Najib, referred to by the code name 'dove’ on social media.

The allegations include the renovation of the prison space for Najib and the plan to take him to the Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital to make it easier for him to receive guests and get VIP facilities.

Citing a Malaysiakini report, Rafizi initially refused to comment on the message that had circulated because there was no name of the author.

However, he said, a post on Najib's Facebook on Monday that commented on PKR's approach in approaching the on-the-fence voters had caught his attention.

“I'm confused. People are told that Najib's health is not good, but instead he looks healthy and can even post on his Facebook," he said on Tuesday.

Rafizi insisted Najib should not have any interaction with the outside world.

"How did he convey the message to his Facebook administrator, especially how did he know what I said during the launch of the PKR election machinery last Sunday?," he asked.

He said, if it was true that Najib would be sent to the Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital, it would strengthen the allegations circulated on the internet.

"And this is a serious issue that the Prime Minister, the Home minister and the government need to answer," he said.

Najib is currently serving a 12-year prison sentence after the Federal Court upheld his conviction and sentence for embezzling RM42 million in SRC International Sdn Bhd funds.

He was admitted to Kuala Lumpur Hospital last week and was said to be facing problems with stomach ulcers and high blood pressure.
