KUALA LUMPUR - The 2023 Kuala Lumpur Bike Show (KLBS 2023) which will take place from Aug 24 to Aug 27 offers affordable tickets, exclusive bike models, fashion shows and more.

Tourism director-general Datuk Dr Ammar Abd Ghap said the four-day event would not just be a bike show, but it would offer an insight into different lifestyles which relates to the country’s tourism industry.

“We must ensure it (the bike show) will benefit the people, and how it benefits the participants and the manufacturers.

“With unique and interesting events, we will be able to contribute to the tourism industry, economy and give positive impact to the community,” he said.

Moventuum managing director Farouk Nurish said KLBS 2023 is also not only in Malaysia but regionally for those who ride certain types of bikes, certain types of music and not only in Malaysia but also in Singapore and Indonesia.

“KLBS is not just about bikes – motorcycles or bicycles – it is also talking about lifestyle as it comprised of music, fashion and entertainment.

“We will be bringing Datuk Awie (veteran rocker Datuk Ahmad Azhar Othman) and his group, Wings, as a part of the show,” he said.

He also said early bird tickets for the event would be priced at RM18 for a day pass and the four-day pass would be RM45.

Additionally, after July 1, the tickets for a day pass would be RM28 and for the four-day pass would be RM68.

“There will be no additional charges and we are keeping it affordable for everyone,” he said.

Bayu D Enterprise managing director Dr Yusseri Yusof (publisher of RodaRoda magazine) said KLBS would be an important platform in the motorcycle industry to highlight new technologies and product development.

“Statistics revealed the electric motorcycle segment also has big potentials especially with the government’s focus on electric vehicle and its chain,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Culture, Arts, Tourism & Sports Department and Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) Khairul director Azmir Ahmad said the location World Trade Center (WTC) was chosen because it was accessible to the public and there was ample of parking areas nearby for visitors.

“We are at the centre, so it is easy to access public transport such as MRT, LRT as not everyone would drive their cars to WTC.
